(September 22, 2003) - Fordham University freshman Sarah Hopkins (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) was named Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 21st. This is the second straight week a Fordham player has earned Rookie of the Week honors, as Natasha Kayulu earned the honor last week.
Hopkins had two goals on the week, which included the game-winning goal against Manhattan on Saturday. Her other goal came against St. John's in a 4-3 loss to the Red Storm. Hopkins is currently the Rams' leading scorer on the year with three goals for six points.
The Fordham Women's Soccer team is currently 3-3 on the year with games this week at Lafayette on Monday, September 22 at 7:00 PM and at home against La Salle University on Sunday, September 28 at 1:00 PM.
