FORDHAM'S NATASHA KAYULU NAMED ATLANTIC 10 WOMEN'S SOCCER CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

(September 14, 2003) - Fordham University freshman Natasha Kayulu (Winchester, MA/Winchester) was named Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Co-Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 14th. She shares the honor with Virginia Bondi of Duquesne University. Kayulu scored her first collegiate goal in the 75th minute to break a 2-2 tie and lift Fordham past Marist College on September 10 for its first win of the season. She netted the rebound from junior Beth Purcell's shot that hit the right post. The Fordham Women's Soccer team is currently 2-2 on the year with games this week at home versus St. John's on Wednesday, September 17 and at Manhattan on Saturday, September 20. Founded in 1841, Fordham is New York City??s Jesuit University. With 22 men??s and women??s varsity sports teams, the Fordham Rams are members of the NCAA Division I and compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, indoor and outdoor track, women??s rowing, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis and volleyball and in the Patriot League (NCAA I-AA) for football.
