(September 1, 2003) ?C Fordham University freshman linebacker Josh Jenrette (Tampa, FL/Armwood) was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week for games of August 30th it was announced today. Fordham, the 2002 Patriot League Co-Champions, opened the 2003 season by defeating C.W. Post College, 42-7, on Jack Coffey Field. It was the third straight year that the Rams have opened the season with a win, the first three-game season-opening winning streak for Fordham since the 1974-76 seasons. Jenrette recorded seven total tackles, three solo, including a tackle for a loss in the win on Saturday. Jenrette was part of a Fordham defense that held the Pioneers to 255 yards of total offense, holding C.W. post scoreless until late in the fourth quarter.
