The Fordham University women’s basketball squad, along with other student-athletes, produced unique fundraiser on April 10th. The student-athletes traded in their uniforms and became models in a fashion show presented in the Rose Hill Gym.
The event, entitled “Walk his Way” was co-sponsored by Fordham Athletics and the Commuter Students Association and was directed by women’s assistant basketball coach Niki Reid. Patricia Williams of the women’s team served as a fashion coordinator while Erin Smith and Williams served as models. Naeemah Brown (Track), Wallace House (Football), and Christina Scott (Track) also served as fashion coordinators while other student-athletes appearing as models included Alfred Bartley (Football), Nathalia Bosquet (Track), Brendan Causgrove (Track), Erik Conroy (Football), Beth Ann Dickinson (Basketball), Mark Jarrell-Wright (Basketball), Diana Nordquist (Track) and Tyrone Thorne (Football).
The event raised funds for the St. Rita’s Tutoring Program, which operates out of Roosevelt High School and raises funds to purchase books and supplies for the students at Roosevelt High School. The high school is located directly across Fordham Road from Fordham University.
