(April 28, 2003) - Fordham University senior Xer-Li Woo (Selangor, Malaysia/Assunta Secondary) was named to the Atlantic 10 Women??s Tennis All-Conference Team it was announced today. She is joined by Temple??s Mia Marovic and Danira Penic, Dayton??s Erin Kirkland and Rebecca Stanchin, Jafra Depontes and Stephanie Price of Massachusetts, Richmond??s Vanessa Bagnato and Meghan Wolfgram, Duquesne??s Alina Klinova, George Washington??s Tracy Wei, and Xavier??s Lauren Clary.
Woo went 10-5 in doubles play and 15-4 at the #1 singles slot for the 2002-03 season, including a perfect 4-0 at #1 singles in the Atlantic 10 tournament last week. She helped Fordham to a 12-7 overall record and an eighth place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championships this year.
In early April, she was named the Atlantic 10??s Performer of the Week after going 3-0 at first singles in three Fordham wins on the week and she teamed with Danielle Spigner to go 3-0 at first doubles.
Founded in 1841, Fordham is New York City's Jesuit University. With 22 men's and women's varsity sports teams, the Fordham Rams are members of the NCAA Division I and compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, indoor and outdoor track, women's rowing, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis and volleyball and in the Patriot League (NCAA I-AA) for football.
