The Fordham University Rams, the 2002 Patriot League Champions, will close out their spring practice schedule with the Spring Game on Saturday, April 26th at 2:00 p.m. on Fordham??s Murphy Field.
The Rams, who finished the 2002 season with a 10-3 record, won their first ever Patriot League championship last and made their first ever trip to the NCAA Division I-AA Playoffs. In the playoffs, the Rams advanced to the quarterfinals with a win over Northeastern in the first round.
The Rams return nine players who were named to the All-Patriot League team last fall, including senior running back Kirwin Watson, the 2002 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year and Third Team All-American, quarterback Kevin Eakin and wide receiver Javarus Dudley.
Fordham is led by head coach Dave Clawson, the 2001 and 2002 Patriot League Coach of the Year, who was named Schutt Sports I-AA Coach of the Year last year.
Orders will be accepted at the spring game for 2003 football season tickets with each fan that orders a 2003 season ticket receiving a free Fordham T-Shirt.
