FORDHAM??S BETH ANN DICKINSON NAMED ATLANTIC 10 WOMEN??S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

(December 14, 2003) ?C Fordham senior guard Beth Ann Dickinson (Milltown, NJ/Spotswood) was named Atlantic 10 Women??s Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending December 13th. This is Dickinson??s first Atlantic 10 weekly honor, and the first Atlantic 10 weekly honor for a Ram since Mobolaji Akiode was named Player of the Week in February 2003. Dickinson had an outstanding week, which saw her record her 1,000th collegiate point against Stony Brook. She began the week scoring 29 points on 11 of 16 shooting in the Rams?? win over Seton Hall at the Metro Challenge, while also adding four steals. She, then scored a game-high 17 points with three steals and three rebounds in the Rams?? win over Stony Brook. She currently leads the team in scoring at 17.2 ppg, good for seventh in the conference, three-point field goal percentage at .432, and in steals with just under two per game. The Fordham Women??s Basketball team is currently 3-3 on the year, after back-to-back wins this week, and will next be in action on Saturday, January 20th as they host the Dolphins of Jacksonville University at 5:00 PM in the Rose Hill Gym.
