(October 24, 2003) - The Fordham Softball team announced their tentative 2004 schedule today where the team will make tournament appearances at the Triangle Classic, hosted by the University of North Carolina, the Dixie Classic in Virginia Beach, VA, the Rebel Games in Orlando, FL, and the UMBC Tournament held in Baltimore, MD. The Rams will also split their conference schedule with four home dates and four road dates. Fordham will host conference foes St. Bonaventure, La Salle, Rhode Island, and Saint Joseph's, whilethey will travel to play Temple, George Washington, Dayton, and Massachusetts. The Fordham Softball team is coming off their most successful season ever. After a 14-43 record in 2002, Fordham had one of the most improved seasons in NCAA history. The Rams finished the year 37-19, the first winning season in Fordham??s 19-year softball history, and went 10-6 in the Atlantic 10 to earn their first ever Atlantic 10 Tournament playoff berth.
