(September 18, 2002) - The Fordham University Women's Basketball Team announced its 2002-03 schedule today, which has the Rams possibly playing eight post-season teams from a year ago. Fordham has match-ups at Georgia Tech and Holy Cross, who both made WNIT appearances last season, while the Rams will also see conference opponents Temple, Saint Joseph's, and George Washington, who saw post-season action. The highlight of the Fordham schedule though this year is a trip to Hawaii for the Wahine Classic. The tournament participants include an elite field with NCAA Champion, the University of Connecticut, NCAA Runner-Up, the University of Oklahoma, NCAA participant, the University of North Carolina, as well as DePaul, Gonzaga, the University of Denver, and host Hawaii. The Rams will also have their 16-game Atlantic 10 schedule, as well as match-ups with local rivals like Manhattan, St. John's, and Stony Brook, and first time meetings with Morgan State, Chicago State, and Jacksonville.
