(November 4, 2002) - Fordham freshman golfer Jesse Clark (Dickinson, ND/Dickinson) was named Atlantic 10 Golf Rookie of the Week after an impressive showing at the Temple/John MacDonald Classic last week. In very difficult playing conditions at the Galloway Golf Course, Clark shot a two-round total of 162 (79-83) to place in a tie for 15th overall at the MacDonald Classic as Fordham's top finisher. He helped Fordham to a seventh place finish out of 10 teams. On the year, Clark has played 17 out of 19 rounds for the Rams with an average score of 79.6. Founded in 1841, Fordham is New York City??s Jesuit University. With 22 men??s and women??s varsity sports teams, the Fordham Rams are members of the NCAA Division I and compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, indoor and outdoor track, women??s rowing, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis and volleyball and in the Patriot League (NCAA I-AA) for football.
