(October 28, 2002) - Fordham University's senior setter Kristyn Daly (Chaska, MN/Chaska) was named Atlantic 10 Volleyball Co-Player of the Week for games through October 28th. Daly shares the honor this week with Temple's Xu Yun. This is Daly's first Atlantic 10 Honor of her career.
Daly helped guide Fordham to a 2-1 record on the week, as the Rams picked up wins versus Central Connecticut State and La Salle. Daly averaged 11.9 assists per game and 5.2 digs per game, as she registered double-doubles in each of Fordham's three matches. She began the week with 43 assists and 10 digs in Fordham's sweep of Central Connecticut State, and follwed that up with a 55-assist, 25-dig performance against La Salle. In the Rams' lone loss to Temple, Daly notched 21 assists and 17 digs. She now needs just 21 assists to reach 3,000 for her career.
Daly is the first Fordham player to receive Player of the Week Honors' since Mele Misi accomplished the feat in September of last year.
