Fordham University's junior forward Kirstin Gellatly (Hopewell Junction, NY/John Jay) was named Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for games through September 3rd.
Gellatly only played one game during the week, but made the most of it, scoring five goals and one assist in Fordham's 13-1 victory over St. Peter's College on Sunday. The eleven total points broke the Fordham single-game record of 10, held by Danielle Tanzi in a 12-0 win against Iona in 1996. Gellatly's five goals tied the Fordham single-game record also held by Tanzi in that same Iona game.
With her five goals and 11 points, Gellatly has quickly moved up the all-time scoring list at Fordham. She currently stands fourth on the career goals list with 14, and fifth on the points list with 31.
