Fordham University's freshman forward Beth Purcell (Lake Elmo, MN/Stillwater Area) was named Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week for the week's games through October 29th. She is the second Fordham freshman to earn the honor this year. Freshman Corey Dunfey earned Rookie of the Week honor in late September. Purcell scored two goals on two shots, including the game-winner, to give Fordham a 4-2 victory over St. Bonaventure on Friday for its first Atlantic 10 win of the season. She currently stands fifth on the team in scoring with three goals and one assist for seven points. The Women's Soccer Team is now 7-8-1 on the season, 2-7 in the Atlantic 10.
