Edmonds was named both The Sports Network NCAA FCS National Rookie of the Week and the Corvias Patriot League Rookie of the Week for his efforts on Saturday against Saint Francis (Pa.).
 
Edmonds had a record-breaking debut for the Rams in Saturday's 52-23 win over Saint Francis University on Jack Coffey Field, rushing for 181 yards on 19 carries with two scores, setting the school freshman mark for rushing yards in a game. His touchdown runs were of four and five yards. Edmonds also returned three kickoffs for 119 yards, taking the opening kickoff 65 yards to get things off on the right foot for Fordham.
