Canessa was named the Atlantic 10 Softball Rookie of the Week after an outstanding performance in Fordham's doubleheader sweep of Marist. She went a combined 5-for-6 with a double, a home run, four RBI, and three runs scored. She finished the day with a 1.500 slugging percentage and an .857 on-base percentage.
