Carey, the Atlantic 10 Softball Rookie of the Week, appeared in all five contests over the weekend, slashed .500/.571/1.250, all team-highs. She produced six total hits, four going for extra bases, including a pair of home runs. In the opener against Valparaiso, Carey was 2-for-2 with a triple and a two-run home run.   Against Houston on Saturday night, she tallied Fordham's lone run with a solo home run in the fifth inning. In the finale against Northwestern State, Carey went 2-for-3 with a single and double and threw out her first baserunner attempting to steal second.
