Melendez had a strong week for the Rams, helping Fordham to a 3-0 week. He hit .455 (5-11) with four RBI and five stolen bases on the week.  Against LIU Brooklyn, he went 3-for-5 with two RBI, three stolen bases, and the walk-off single to win the game in the tenth inning, while also getting the win in that game throwing two innings of hitless relief with three strikeouts. Melendez had a pair of RBI in the Rams' game one win over Coppin State on Saturday, and followed with two hits and two stolen bases in the nightcap of the doubleheader.
