Tavares averaged 19 points and six rebounds in three games over the holiday break.  He began the break with 19 points and seven rebounds in a win over Florida A&M on December 21^st.  Then against then-#10 West Virginia on December 23rd, he scored 18 points to go with seven boards and two steals.  He capped the break with his third 20-point effort of the season, netting 20 points in an Atlantic 10 match-up at VCU.
