Joe DiBari was named Sports Information Director at Fordham in January of 1997. He serves as the main contact for men’s basketball, football, men’s soccer, men’s and women’s tennis, and rowing.
DiBari and his wife, Edith Kealey who earned an MSW from Fordham in 2003 and a PhD in 2014, have two sons, Nicholas, a 2017 Fordham graduate, and Patrick, a 2021 Fordham graduate.
Prior to arriving at Rose Hill, DiBari served as the Sports Information Director at Adelphi University from 1994-1997. He helped promote the 1993 men’s lacrosse NCAA Division II national championship team along with the 1995 baseball team’s trip to the NCAA Division II national finals.
DiBari also served as the Sports Information Director at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy from 1988-1993, earning the Academy’s Mark J. Paradiso Service Award in 1990.
A 1984 graduate of the University of Tampa, DiBari got his start in the sports information profession as a student assistant for the Spartans from 1982-84. He is a member of the U.S. Basketball Writers Association and the U.S. Football Writers Association.
