Nicholas Stanton was named head cheerleading coach at Fordham in August of 2026.
Stanton brings extensive Division I coaching experience to Fordham after serving as Head Cheerleading Coach at St. John's University, where he led the Red Storm cheer program at nationally televised athletic events, including the University's NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament (March Madness) appearance. During his tenure, he oversaw gameday performances, public appearances, and program operations while helping elevate the visibility and energy surrounding Red Storm Athletics. He also served as Co-Head Cheerleading Coach at NYU and is a three-time UCA All-American.
Stanton also serves as the Choreographer & Spirit Consultant at Adelphi University where he designed competition and gameday choreography that raised performance quality and crowd engagement.
Prior to St. Johns, Stanton was Co-Head Cheerleading Coach at York College from 2016 – 2018. He managed full program operations: practice and game scheduling, travel, study hall, equipment and uniforms, and program and scholarship budgets.
