Julian Howell was named an assistant athletic trainer at Fordham in June of 2026. He will work with the Fordham women's soccer program.
No stranger to the Rams, Howell served as an Athletic Training Student at Fordham in 2025-2026, working primarily with the women’s soccer squad. He was responsible for daily injury report and team status communication with coaches, injury evaluation and rehabilitation program development, scheduling visits with team
physicians, and maintenance of electronic medical records.
As a undergraduate at Temple Howell served as an Athletic Training Student at Chestnut Hill College (Sept. 2025 – Dec. 2025), Friends’ Central High School (Jan. 2025 – May 2025), and with the Temple football program (Aug. 2025 – Nov. 2025). At Chestnut Hill he was responsible for development and execution of multiple RTP protocols for injuries such as post-operative ACL, metatarsal stress reaction, and glenohumeral instability, delivering comprehensive care to 350+ athletes. At Friends Central High School Howell led an initiative to track of patient outcomes using PROMs such as GROC and IKDC and implemented changes with treatment and rehabilitation, while as an athletic trainer with the Temple football program, he leveraged access to unique modalities such as laser therapy and Hydroworx to provide treatment and collaborated with Physical Therapists to develop and execute long-term rehabilitation return to play protocols.
A 2025 graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Professions, Howell earned a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2026.
