Jamilah Ali, who started at Fordham in September of 2019 as the director of athletic compliance, was promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Development in October 2021.
 
In her position, Ali will assist the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance in all aspects of NCAA compliance including overseeing roster management and act as database administrator for ARMS and CAi was well as administering NCAA and institutional forms for student-athletes and staff. She will also monitor student-athlete employment and outside competition and oversee initial eligibility and Eligibility Center accounts and assist with preparation and writing of NCAA, Atlantic 10, and Patriot League reports and waivers.
 
At Dartmouth, Ali worked with the associate athletics director in helping to educate and foster a positive atmosphere for Dartmouth’s 35 varsity teams, coaches and administrators.
 
Ali is a former Division I student-athlete, competing in gymnastics at Bowling Green University. In her junior year, Ali competed in the vault and balance beam for the Falcons and put up scores of at least 9.800 in each event. As a senior, she had four first-place finishes and posted a career-best 9.875 to win the vault in BGSU's season-opening victory over Michigan State. She also worked as a student volunteer in the athletic department's compliance office while at BG, and coached young gymnasts at the YMCA of Greater Toledo.

Jamilah earned her undergraduate degree at Bowling Green in August of 2015 and followed that with her masters of Business from Ohio University in 2017. She also earned a master’s of Sports Administration degree from Ohio University in 2018, serving as a graduate assistant compliance coordinator for the school in 2017-2018.
 
Jamilah is originally from Manchester, N.J. where she has worked coaching youth gymnastics.
