Giselle Guasso was named assistant athletic trainer at Fordham University in March of 2026. She will work with the football team as well as with the men’s and women’s tennis programs.
 
Guasso arrived at Rose Hill after served as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Toledo since August of 2023 where she worked primarily with the football and women’s tennis programs. Her responsibilities included delivering comprehensive medical services for Division 1 football and tennis athletes, ensuring peak performance and injury prevention and designing and implementing rehabilitation programs tailored for football athletes during off-season,
in-season, and spring training, optimizing recovery timelines.

Prior to joining the Toledo Sports Medicine Staff, Guasso was a graduate assistant at the University of Indianapolis where she had clinical placements with athletic departments at the University of Indianapolis (baseball, football, and wrestling), University of Michigan (water polo and swim/dive), Marian University (football), and Butler University (football, women's basketball, and women's lacrosse) while also assisting at Decatur Central High School and Perry Meridian High school.

A native of Chicago, Ill., Guasso graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2021 with a degree in Exercise Science with a CES emphasis. Guasso also earned a Master of Science in Athletic Training degree from the University of Indianapolis in 2023.
