A Five Borough native, Cardona joined the Fordham staff in August of 2023 as an Assistant Sports Information Director where he will serve as the primary contact for the women's volleyball, women's basketball, and softball programs.

He comes to the Bronx from Fairfield University where he was the Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communications, serving as the media contact for golf, tennis, cross country, and women's lacrosse. During his time with the Stags, Cardona helped run the department and team social channels, creating and posting content for Instagram and Twitter. He also covered multiple championship runs for the Stags including a pair of MAAC titles with women's lacrosse and assisted in Fairfield's hosting of the NCAA Women's Basketball Sweet 16 and Elite 8, NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship weekend and the Premier Lacrosse League in 2022.

Holding a B.A. in Communications from the University of New Haven, Cardona completed his undergrad with a concentration in Public Relations, with minors in sports communications and marketing. In his four years with the Chargers he worked within the sports information department helping with various tasks including public address, broadcasting, and stat keeping, as well as writing for the women's tennis, women's lacrosse, and women's volleyball teams.

Originally hailing from Maspeth, Queens, Cardona currently resides in Newtown, Conn.
