Chris Sullivan returns to the Rose Hill Gym sidelines for his third season with Fordham Volleyball in 2025.
Helping the Rams to their best season in over a decade during his first season in 2023, the Maroon and White tallied 17 victories, and came just shy of a first-round upset in five sets at the Atlantic 10 Championship. Sullivan has handled blocking schemes while serving as a positional coach for the middle blockers, while also handling the Rams’ travel logistics and assisting in recruiting efforts and on-site visits.
Sullivan arrived in the Bronx with over a decade’s worth of coaching experience since graduating from the University of the Pacific. After six years as a coach in California with San Gabriel Elite, and three at La Canada High School, Sullivan went abroad to Colchester, England. There, he earned his Master’s degree at the University of Essex and served as head coach of Tendring, a semi-pro ladies club team at England’s highest level that Sullivan helped win its first-ever National Volleyball League Championship.

Since returning stateside, Sullivan has spent the past seven years at Poly Prep Country Day School, as assistant varsity coach, and with Brooklyn Elite, serving as their Assistant Club Director. With the former, he’s helped coach the girls varsity squad to three straight NYSAIS championships. With the latter, he has a litany of roles and responsibilities, including head coach of the 17-1 girls team that attends seven tournaments, including Junior Nationals.
