Bria Plante, who served as an assistant volleyball coach at Moravian University in 2025, was named assistant volleyball coach at Fordham in April of 2026.
At Moravian, Plante assisted the head coach in player development, running drills, coaching all aspects of the game with emphasis on serve receive, hitting, blocking and front row plays. She coached in-game situations with focus on front row offense and defense and built scouting reports prior to games and led the team through film breakdowns prior to games alongside watching individual film with players. The Greyhounds finished with a .500 record (14-14) with Moravian making the Landmark Conference tournament for the first time in eight years. Plante coached two All-Conference Players with Middle Blocker Payton Reuber earning second team honors and Libero Sam Love honorable mention honors.
Prior to Moravian, served as a volunteer assistant coach at her alma mater, Long Island University, where she assisted the coaching staff with leading drills and conditioning during spring practices.
From 2017-2025, Plante was a coach for A5 Volleyball in Alpharetta, Georgia. As the Volley Performance Coach she was integral in leading individual and small group programming which focused on teaching technique, skills, and endurance. She worked as an assistant coach with the 16-1 Boys and 14-1 Boys in 2022, playing a national schedule and qualifying for USAV Nationals.
A cum laude graduate of McNeese State where she earned a degree in Sports Medicine, Plante earned a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from LIU in 2025. She was a member of the McNeese State volleyball program, helping the Cowgirls to the 2021 Southland Conference championship game. Plante played two years at LIU (2023-24), serving as a 2024 team captain, helping the Sharks to the 2023 Northeast Conference title and a berth in the NCAA Championship.
