Seidu Ajanako joined the Fordham volleyball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach in 2009, and begins his third season at Rose Hill.

Ajanako brings a plethora of volleyball experience as both an indoor and beach volleyball professional player. He started his volleyball career with the Ghana National Team from 1995 until 2003, earning a number of caps in international volleyball competition. His first major experience came in 1999 as a member of the Ghana National Team, helping them to a fifth place finish at the All-African Games in South Africa. In 2001, Ajanako was voted the best volleyball player in Ghana by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), while also earning best African spiker in Ivory Coast, as Ghana took the bronze medal that season. He also served as captain of the Ghana Police team, which won seven local volleyball titles from 1996-2002.

Ajanako then came to the United States to play collegiate volleyball, where he was a part of four straight NAIA National Championship teams, one with Park University and three with California Baptist University. He garnered NAIA All-American honors in each of those three seasons at California Baptist.

Following his collegiate career, Ajanako began playing professional beach volleyball in the United States. In the first tournament he entered, he took first place at the East End AA Beach Volleyball Championship. He has been a part of numerous winning tournament teams with the most recent wins at the 2007 Caribbean Beach Open in Isle Verde, Puerto Rico, and the 2008 Norristown Crush Grass Volleyball Championship.

In the coaching realm, Ajanako has coached at the club, high school, and collegiate levels in Ghana, California, and New York. He served as an assistant coach at both Williams Woods University (2007) and Central Methodist University (2008), while also working summer camps at the University of Missouri from 2004-07. Ajanako graduated from California Baptist with a degree in Business Administration.
