Amir Alkhafaji, a former student assistant coach at George Mason University, was named Director of Player Development for Fordham Women’s Tennis in September of 2025.
Alkhafaji arrives at Rose Hill after serving as a student assistant coach for the Patriots from 2020-2022. He mentored student-athletes, developing training plans and strategies to enhance their tennis skills and performance, organizing and leading individual and group practices, focusing on technique, conditioning, and match preparation.
Alkhafaji also has junior and adult coaching experience, working at the Fairfax Country Club, A-Plus Tennis Academy, and Springfield Golf and Country Club.
A 2019 graduate of George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Alkhafaji was a four-year member of the men’s tennis program. He also earned a Master of Science in Biology from the university in 2021.
