Joining Coach Clinton on the Fordham women's soccer staff is assistant coach Kimberly Miller.
In just three short years, Miller has helped put the Rams in the Atlantic 10 Championship hunt, making the title match for just the third time in team history in 2015, while qualifying for the championship in 2016. Fordham won 13 games, just one shy of the program record, and set team marks for shutouts (11) and goals against average (0.84). The team was also listed in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Rankings for most of the year, finishing the year tenth.
In her first year on the staff, Fordham registered eight wins, which began with a 6-1 start, the team's best-ever start through seven games. The team also tied a program record by recording six consecutive victories.
In addition, Fordham was recognized twice by the NSCAA, receiving the Team Academic Award for the fifth straight season, while also earning the Ethics & Sportsmanship Award for the first time, which recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the laws of the game, as reflected by the number of yellow caution cards or red ejection cards they are shown by referees throughout the season.
Miller came to Rose Hill after three seasons as an assistant coach at Limestone College, where she assisted in all aspects of the women’s soccer program.
During her time with the Saints, Miller helped guide the team to 29 wins over three seasons and was an integral part in leading Limestone to back-to-back appearances in the Conference Carolinas Tournament Semifinals in 2011 and 2012. During her tenure with Limestone, Miller coached consecutive Conference Carolinas Player of the Year recipients (Ashley Alderin-Fleagle in 2011 and Gabriella Reid in 2012).
Miller played an important role in helping the Saints set a number of school records, including most wins (13 - 2011), winning percentage (.711 - 2011), fewest losses (5 - 2011), most conference wins (9 - 2011), highest conference finish (2nd - 2012), most points scored (125 - 2011), fewest goals allowed (17 - 2011), shutouts (9 - 2011), and longest time without conceding a goal (363:56 - 2011). She coached 11 All-Conference selections, two Conference Carolinas Player of the Year recipients, five All-Region honorees, and one All-American at Limestone.
Miller joined Limestone following a record-breaking playing career with the University of South Carolina. She finished her career with 92 games played and eight game-winning assists, which at the time, ranked first in team history while her 17 career assists were second all-time. Additionally, Miller was second all-time with 90 career starts and third with five game-winning goals. In 2009, she became only the second player in program history to record 10 or more assists in a season.
As a senior, Miller led the Gamecocks to their first ever SEC Tournament Championship before guiding the squad to the school’s first NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearance. She led the team with 11 assists while finishing second with 17 points en route to SEC All-Tournament Team, Second Team All-SEC, and National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Region honors.
In 2008, she guided South Carolina to the program’s second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player after posting four goals and three assists. Miller scored two goals in the regular season finale at Arkansas to propel the team into the SEC Tournament. For her performance against the Razorbacks, she was named to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week.
Miller started every game during her sophomore campaign, leading USC to their first ever win in the SEC Tournament. She was named to the SEC All-Tournament Team and then led South Carolina to the school’s first NCAA Tournament appearance in nine seasons.
For her career, she tallied eight goals and 17 assists for 33 career points. However, her excellence was not confined to the field as she was named to the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll in 2006 before earning SEC Academic Honor Roll selections in each of her last three seasons.
Before making the trip to Columbia, Miller was a three-year captain at Farmingdale (N.Y.) High School. She earned All-State and All-Long Island honors as a senior and was a two-time All-County selection following her sophomore and senior seasons. Miller, also a member of the Long Island Soccer League and Eastern New York Soccer Association, was named a Scholar Athlete at the conclusion of her final year.
Miller graduated with a Physical Education degree from South Carolina in 2011.
