Biography

Before Fordham: Started rowing at the Mount during her sophomore year... In her first year, she placed 2nd in the Novice 8+ at the 2014 PSRA City Championships... During her junior year and senior year, Julia competed in the Lightweight 8+ that won the SRAA National Championship (Gold 2016, Silver 2015), the Stotesbury Cup Regatta (Gold 2016 and 2015), the PSRA City Championship (Gold 2016 and 2015), the USRowing Mid-Atlantic Youth Championship (Gold 2016 and 2015), and the Saratoga Invitational (Silver 2016, Gold 2015), and raced at the USRowing Youth National Championship in 2016 (10th overall) and 2015 (4th overall)... Also stroked the 2V8+ that won the 2015 Head of the Schuylkill and was a semifinalist in the Varsity 4+ at the 2015 Henley Women's Regatta in England... In the Fall of 2015, stroked the 2V8+ at the Head of the Charles placing 16th out of 85 entries... Additionally, was an accomplished swimmer for the Mount, helping the team to its first AACA Conference championship in 12 years and qualifying for District Championships 3 years in a row... Named captain of her team for the 2015-2016 season and holds multiple club team records.
