Alexandra Griffin joined the Fordham Sports Medicine Staff in September 2019 as the primary Athletic Trainer for Fordham Women’s Basketball and Women’s Rowing and is in her fourth year with the department. She is currently still with women's basketball but no longer works with rowing and instead works with women's cross country, women's track & field, and squash.
Previously, she served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the Stevens Institute of Technology from 2015-19. In her role Alexandra was the primary Athletic Trainer for Men's and Women’s Volleyball, Men's and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field, and Women’s Basketball.Before that, she served as a New York Jets Preseason Training Camp Intern within their Sports Medicine Department. During her role she was awarded the PFATS/NFL Ethnic Minority Scholarship and was one of two women serving on staff. For procuring her internship she was named a Worlds Ahead Graduate from Florida International University in 2015.
Alexandra earned her M.S. in Athletic Training at FIU in 2015 and completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology-Sports Medicine in 2011 from the University of Virginia.
