Liz Brown is entering her first season as an assistant coach with the program after previously serving as Director of Administration during the 2021-22 campaign.
Brown, a 2015 graduate of the University of Richmond, has served a variety of positions prior to her arrival in the Bronx. Most recently, she served as Marshall University's Director of Basketball Operations and assistant coach since 2018. Prior to that, Brown spent three months as an operations intern with the WMLBA Dallas Lightning, a position she also held following her graduation in 2015 with the Nancy Lieberman Foundation. Between the two, Brown was an assistant coach at the University of New Haven for the 2017-18 season, where she also worked towards her Master's degree in Sports Management.Â
At Richmond, Brown's 48 blocks during her sophomore season were the second-most all-time in program history. An Atlantic 10 All-Rookie selection, Brown helped the Spiders to three postseason berths. Following her graduation, Brown played professionally in Wuppertal, Germany from 2015-16, averaging 10 points and nine rebounds.Â
