Andre Jurko enters his third season with the Rams after joining the staff in May 2023 as the Player Development Assistant Coach under Head Coach Bridgette Mitchell.
“Andre is a great addition to my staff here at Fordham,” said Head Coach Bridgette Mitchell. “He brings an unbelievable work ethic and great energy on a daily basis. He loves the game of basketball, studies it, and easily transfers his knowledge to our players. I’m excited to have him overseeing the development of our players.”
His tenure as an assistant coach under Coach Mitchell at Northeastern witnessed the program's remarkable resurgence, culminating in a historic season with a share of the program's first-ever regular-season championship. Under his guidance, Deja Bristol was named CAA Sixth Player of the Year after averaging 8 points per game and 5 rebounds per game off the bench.
In just two seasons at Fordham, Coach Jurko’s impact was quickly felt. Irene Murua was ranked second in the Atlantic 10 in field goal percentage (.555) and led the Rams in rebounds (6.6 per game) and averaged 12.4 points per game. As a ‘Mack Truck’, the graduate helped anchor her position group under Coach Jurko’s mentorship.

Jurko brings a wealth of experience, including six successful seasons at UNC Asheville, where he was instrumental in developing players across multiple positions and contributing to postseason success. During his tenure, he played a key role in player development across multiple positions and was instrumental in the team’s postseason achievements. In addition, he leads the Fordham program’s international recruiting efforts, helping to expand its global reach and talent pipeline.
Before his collegiate coaching career, Jurko served as an assistant coach at Sagemont High School in Weston, Florida, helping guide the nationally recognized program to the Class 3A State Finals.
A native of Weston, Jurko initially attended Florida State University as an engineering major before pivoting to a career in athletics. He earned a B.S. in Sport Management in December 2016.
