Biography

2019-20: Started in all 32 games as a junior, finishing her season with 100 consecutive starts since arriving on Rose Hill, before the season was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic… Team captain… Atlantic 10 Player of the Year and First Team member… ECAC and MBWA First Team… WBCA All-America Regional Finalist and Honorable Mention… Named to A-10 All-Championship team… Won Fordham's Hobbs Family award for the top female student-athlete... 2017-18: One of two Rams to start all 34 contests… Named Second Team All-Conference and an All-Rookie selection… Four-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week… Named the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Rookie of the Year and Second Team… Set Fordham rookie records in starts (34), free throws (145), and minutes (1,306), and had the second-most points (578), scoring average (17.0), field goals (183), and three-pointers (67)… Her 578 points are the eighth-most of any player in a single season, her 145 free throws are tied for the fifth-most, her 67 three-pointers are ninth-most, and her 84.8% free-throw percentage is 10th-highest all-time… Led the Rams with her 17.0 points per game and finished second with her minutes, field goals, three-point field goals, total rebounds, assists, and steals… Finished her season among all Division I players sixth with 38.4 minutes per game and ninth with 1,306 overall minutes… Her 500 field goal attempts ranked 44th in the nation, while her 578 points ranked 74th... 2016-17: Sat out the season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Before Fordham: Spent one season at California where she sat out the season due to injury...Attended the Blair Academy in New Jersey, Cavanaugh was rated as a four-star recruit and No. 91 overall by ESPN HoopGurlz and ranked in the Top 100 nationally by All Star Girls Basketball Report (No. 69), Prospects Nation (No. 99) and Blue Star Basketball (No. 100)... Averaged 17 points, six assists, four steals and eight rebounds per game in her junior season...  As a senior, reached the 1,000 point plateau, and averaged over 19 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals per game... A three-time participant at Nike Nationals and a one-time participant at the Adidas National Camp, earned invitations to the Nike Skills Academy and the 8Eye Classic in Philadelphia... Was a three-time New Jersey All-State first team selection and a three-time All-MAPL (Mid-Atlantic Prep) selection... Helped lead Blair Academy to three consecutive Mid-Atlantic League and New Jersey State championships from 2012-14 and a 63-8 record over that span... Volunteered locally in New Jersey on behalf of Habitat for Humanity, youth basketball programs and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
