Joining the team as the pitching coach for the 2011-2012 season is Kyle Jamieson.
Jamieson brings a wealth of experience with him to Rose Hill, having coached and played all over the United States and Canada. His first coaching stop in the US came at Bowling Green in 2004. He spent three years at the Mid-American Athletic Conference school developing the pitchers and helping the team capture the MAC ERA title for every season he was there. He also coached the MAC Tournament MVP and Pitcher of the Year in his first two years. In his final stint with the Falcons, he produced the 2006 MAC Freshman of the Year. He left Bowling Green in 2007 to take a job with Syracuse.
With the Orange, Jamieson coach the Big East Rookie of the Year, Jenna Caira, who was all an All-Big East Third-Team Selection. Also, as a staff, Jamieson helped lower the team's ERA from 4.88 in his first season with the Orange, to 2.42 in his final year. Jamieson then moved on to the SEC where he took over as the pitching coach in 2009 at Arkansas. Once again, he showed immediate results, lowering the ERA from 4.75 to 3.67 in his first season.
Prior to his collegiate coaching career, Jamieson helped the Canadian National Team pitch its way to the world championships in New Zealand in 1993. He also served as a player/pitching coach for the Danish National Fastpitch Championship club team in 2001.
The Stittsville, Ontario native earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from Brock University in 1997. He also got a second BA in education from Nipissing University in the following year.
