Before Fordham: Varsity softball player at Wellington C. Mepham High School... Two-year captain... Named to the All-State team and the All-Island Team twice (2011-12)... Hit .455 as a senior, after hitting .414 as a sophomore... Three-time All-County pick... Played summer ball for the Long Island Chargers Gold softball team... Member of the National Honor Society, the Tri-M Music Honor Society, and the National Spanish Honor Society... Gilder Lehrman History Scholar... Recipient of the 2012 Distinguished Athlete Award from the U.S. Marines.
