Before Fordham:  A Sayville High School graduate where he lettered in baseball, ice hockey, football and track…A four-year letter winner in baseball and hockey and three-year letter winner with football…A four-time All-League selection at Sayville where he hit .393 (26-66) as a junior with eleven stolen bases…Won the Golden Glove for catchers in Suffolk County…Al-County selection as a senior…Also earned All-League honors three times in football and served as the team captain…Named to the Suffolk County All-Star team in hockey…Four-year All-League pick in hockey and two-time All-Long Island selection…Played high school baseball for Barry Fitzpatrick…Listed in Who’s Who Among high School Students.
