Entering his fourth year on Coach McElderry's staff in 2013 is Goalkeeper Coach John San Filippo.

San Filippo brings a myriad of knowledge and experience with him to Rose Hill. In 2011, San Filippo worked with Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year and MLS SuperDraft selection of the New York Red Bulls, Ryan Meara.

As a coach, San Filippo has coached at the Storm Soccer Academy where he tutored players from the Garden City Soccer Club, the Port Washington Soccer Club and the Merrick Soccer Club. Prior to his time at the Storm Academy, he served as an instructor for the Plattsburgh Football Club. While there, he ran practices and conducted tryouts.

In his professional career, San Filippo played with the New York Cosmos U23 team, the Westchester Flames PDL squad and the Long Island Rough Riders.

At Plattsburgh, in college, San Filippo was a captain during his junior and senior seasons. He was a three-year starter between the pipes where he was named the SUNYAC Player of the Year in 2008. Additionally, he was selected as First Team All-Region in 2007 & 2008 and as an All-American in 2007. He graduated from Plattsburgh with a Bachelor's degree in Finance.
