Rebecca Davis, former assistant athletic trainer at Yale University, was named an assistant athletic trainer at Fordham in August of 2023. She will oversee the men’s basketball and golf programs.
 
Davis arrives at Rose Hill after serving as an assistant athletic trainer at Yale from 2021-2023. At Yale, she covered men’s basketball and women’s crew where she implemented best evidence based practice in prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, management, treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries.
 
Prior to her stint in New Haven, Davis was a member of the St. Bonaventure University athletic training staff, serving as an assistant trainer in 2019-2020 before being elevated to assistant athletic director for sports medicine/head athletic trainer at St. Bonaventure University in 2020. She worked with the women’s basketball, cross country, track and field, and softball squads with the Bonnies. Her duties included new staff recruitment and onboarding process as well as assisting on the athletic department mental health counselor search committee. Davis helped to create a policy and procedure for mental health emergencies and assisted in creating all COVID-19 policies and procedures for testing, day to day protocols and travel plans.
 
In 2018-2019, Davis was an assistant athletic trainer at McNeese State University where she worked with the cross country and track and field programs while she served as an athletic training resident at the University of Connecticut in 2017-2018 and assistant athletic trainer at western New England University in 2016-2017.
 
Davis earned a degree in Athletic Training from Westfield State University in 2015 and obtained a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Western New England University in 2018.
