Biography

Joined the Fordham program in December of 2009...Gave the Rams a guard who could come off the bench and play the point...Played for three years at Our Savior New American on Long Island...Also played for the New York Elite AAU program and with the Dominican Republic Junior National Team.

As a Freshman (2009-10): Appeared in 18 games in 2009-10 after joining the team in December, starting three...Averaged 2.2 ppg and 2.1 rpg...Also had 17 assists and seven steals...Scored a season-high seven points and added three rebounds against Dayton (1/13/10)...Netted five points and grabbed five rebounds in the George Washington game (2/13/10)...Also had five points against Temple (1/23/10), La Salle (1/27/10), St. Bonaventure (2/24/10) and Duquesne (3/5/10) games...Scored four points and added two assists against Xavier (3/3/10)...Pulled downs a season-best seven rebounds against Rhode Island (1/16/10).

Before Fordham: A graduate of Our Savior New American School in Centereach, N.Y., where he played for three years for head coach Rev. Ron Stelzer...As a senior in 2008-09, he averaged 15.0 ppg, 6.5 apg, 5.0 rpg and 2.0 steals/game, shooting better than 40% from the three-point arc and 74% from the free throw stripe...As a junior at Our Savior New American, the two-year captain, averaged 11.0 ppg, 4.0 apg, 4.0 rpg and 2.0 steals/game and shot over 40% from behind the arc...A member of the New York Elite AAU program, Moquete also played with the Upstate Basketball program in the Reebok Summer Championships in Las Vegas along with Big East players Brandon Triche (Syracuse) and Dane Miller (Rutgers). He also had interest from Holy Cross, Duquesne, Georgia, and Niagara, and Davidson...Hails from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic...Also has international experience, serving as the starting point guard and captain of the Dominican Republic Junior National team. He played in tournaments in Spain, Columbia, Puerto Rico and Argentina with the national team while also attending the Adidas Nations camp in San Paulo, Brazil.
