Biography

Served as a 2018-2019 co-captain... Returned to action in 2017-2018 after his 2016-2017 season was abbreviated by injury... Proved to be a valuable player off the bench for the Rams as a freshman in 2015-2016… Selected to play for the Czech Republic National Team on their Under 19, Under 18, and Under 16 teams… Participated in the U18 European Championships in Turkey in 2014… Also participated in the European Championships U16 in Lithuania in 2013… Get Better Academy's leading scorer.
 
As a Senior (2018-2019)
• Left school in early March to return to the Czech Republic to play professionally.
• Appeared in 23 games for the Rams in 2018-2019, starting two.
• Averaged 3.6 ppg and 3.2 rpg.
• Finished with a season-high 12 points, hitting four three-pointers, and tied his career-high with ten rebounds at Duquesne.
• Scored ten points, shooting 5-for-8 from the field, and five rebounds in JMU win.
• Netted eight points and added four rebounds and four assists in season-opening win over CCNY.
• Also scored eight points and added a season-high eight rebounds vs. NJIT.
• Scored six points and added three rebounds and one steal in Howard win.
• Finished with five points and three rebounds at Manhattan.

As a Junior (2017-2018)
• Appeared in 27 games for the Rams in 2017-2018, starting five
• Averaged 5.2 ppg and 3.1 rpg
• Recorded first career double-double with 16 points and a career-high ten rebounds at St. Bonaventure
• Scored 14 points in the Atlantic 10 Championship game against George Washington

As a Sophomore (2016-2017)
• Appeared in 15 games for the Rams in 2016-2017, starting one, before season was cut short by injury
• Averaged 3.5 ppg and 1.3 rpg
• Netted eleven points, hitting three three-pointers, and added three rebound in season-opener at East Tennessee
• Pumped in nine points, hitting three three-pointers, and added a career-high five assists in home game versus Duquesne
• Finished with eight points and two assists against Sacred Heart
• Scored six points versus NYIT

As a Freshman (2015-2016)
• Appeared in 20 games for the Rams in 2015-2016, starting eleven.
• Averaged 5.1 ppg and 2.0 rpg.
• Finished with a season-high 19 points, shooting 4-for-7 from behind the arc, against St. Bonaventure (2/10/16).

Before Fordham
• A graduate of the Get Better Academy in the Czech Republic.
• Selected to play for the Czech Republic National Team on their Under 19, Under 18, and Under 16 teams.
• Participated in the U18 European Championships in Turkey in 2014.
• Also participated in the European Championships U16 in Lithuania in 2013.
• Get Better Academy's leading scorer.
• Helped the Get Better Academy U19 team win the Cholet Mondial Basketball International title, earning tournament MVP honors while averaging 18 ppg, including registering a pair of double-doubles.
• Also enjoyed success at the National Prep School Invitational held in February of 2015 in Rhode Island, earning Player of the Game honors in a win over Bill Carothers Secondary School.
• Julian Betko, Pekárek’s coach at Get Better Academy, played at Butler for three seasons, starting his junior and senior year, leading the 2006-07 squad to the NCAA Sweet 16.
