Ty Goode, former assistant varsity basketball coach at Saint Peter’s Prep, was named the Rams' assistant recruiting coordinator in August of 2022.
Goode arrived at Fordham after serving for nine years (2014-2022) at Saint Peter’s Prep in Jersey City, N.J. He was responsible for assisting in recruitment efforts, student-athlete evaluation, individual skill and team concept instruction, and preparing and implementing game strategies.
Prior to his stint at Saint Peter’s, Goode served as a volunteer varsity B assistant coach at St. Raymond’s High School in the Bronx in 2013-2014, assisting with player skill development and mentorship.
From 2010-2012, Goode was an assistant/head coach at Alif Muhammad NIA Prep School in Newark, N.J. He helped to recruit perspective student athletes, plan and conduct practices, and assist with individual skill training and team concepts.
A 2005 graduate of Fairfield University with a degree in Business Administration in Information Systems, Goode was a four-year starter ad two-year captain for the Stags. He was named the 2004 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year.
A native of Springfield Gardens, N.Y., Goode was a three-year varsity player, and two-year starter, at William E. Grady High School. He led the team to a New York City PSAL City Championship, earning First Team All-City honors.
