Campbell helped the Rams men's and women's basketball programs to academic success with eleven men's student-athletes and eight women's basketball student-athletes honored at the 2016 Breakfast for Champions, which recognizes all student-athletes with a 3.00 GPA or better. Additionally, the men’s program has seen a student-athlete named Academic All-Atlantic 10 in each of the past two years with Christian Sengfelder earning the honor last year.

Campbell arrived at Rose Hill after a career that included stints as a superintendent, principal and teacher. Most recently, he was the Superintendant and Chief School Administrator for the Neptune City School District in Neptune, New Jersey, a position he held since 2008.

Prior to serving as the superintendent, Campbell was principal at Woodrow Wilson High School in Neptune from 1999-2008. He was responsible for developing and implementing the Homework Design Center as well as serving as the NJASK Tutoring Program coordinator, which developed after school and summer programs at the school. At Woodrow Wilson, Campbell also developed and realized the Athletes Studying Together (AST) Program as well as the Teen Tutoring Program, a program that prepared students for tutorial positions in different academic curriculums.

Campbell got his start in the education field as a Health and Physical Education teacher in the Bayonne (N.J.) School District from 1975-1999.

A graduate of Jersey City State College with a bachelor's degree in French, Campbell also received a master's degree in Administration and Supervision from Seton Hall University and a Certificate of Health and Physical Education from Kean College. He currently resides in Manasquan, N.J.
