Stephen Zurich, who served as the assistant video coordinator at Fordham in 2018-2019, was named the director of player development for the Rams in July of 2019.
In his current position, Zurich is responsible for assisting in the organization of campus recruiting weekends and in planning of team and recruiting travel. He will also coordinate all responsibilities for film and video for the men’s basketball program as well as filming and coverage for games and practices and preparing video edits and breakdowns for coaches at the end of practice and games. Zurich will also coordinate with the Office of Academic Advising on schedules for student-athletes and oversee the managers and all of their game day and practice responsibilities as well as assist with the coordination of community service activities for the team.
In 2018-2019 Zurich served as the assistant video coordinator for the Rams where he formulated advance scouts for assistant coaches and produced post game edits to promote player development. He also was responsible for filming all practices and evaluating and cutting game footage of potential recruits.
Prior to coming to Rose Hill Zurich was an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator for the Houghton College men’s basketball program from 2016-2018. He led the recruiting efforts for the Highlanders, establishing relationships with high school and AAU coaches throughout the northeast. He also assisted with team travel arrangements and managed official and unofficial campus visits.
Before his two years at Houghton, Zurich was an assistant coach at Utica College in 2015-2016.
A 2015 graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in economics, Zurich was a four-year member of the Scarlet Knight basketball program.
