Ogheneyole Akuwovo

After wrapping his collegiate playing career with the Rams in 2023-24, Ogheneyole Akuwovo has joined Keith Urgo’s staff as a graduate manager for the 2024-25 campaign.
 
Akuwovo joined the Rams for one season as a player, appearing in 29 games with one start as a graduate student in 2023-24.  His best performance of the season came in the Rams’ win over North Texas at Barclays Center on Dec. 10, scoring eight points and grabbing six rebounds as Fordham took down the reigning NIT champion.
 
Prior to arriving at Rose Hill, Akuwovo spent four years at Binghamton, playing three seasons for the Bearcats.  His best output came in 2021-22 when he averaged 5.2 points and 3.9 points in 27 games, 17 of which were starts.  He finished in double figures in five times while shooting 58.4 percent from the field.
 
Akuwovo played his freshman season at Howard in 2018-19, starting 32 of his 34 appearances while averaging 4.6 points and 5.3 boards per game.
 
Akuwovo, a native of Nigeria who played his high school basketball at Ranney School and St. Anthony in New Jersey, is working toward a master’s degree in media management in the Gabelli School of Business.
