A two-time national champion at Villanova who spent his first two seasons in an administrative role with the Rams, Henry Lowe was promoted to the position of assistant coach in April of 2023.
Lowe spent the 2022-23 season as the Rams' director of player development, tailoring individual plans for student-athletes in order to maximize their potential on and off the court. Lowe also assisted in game-preparation efforts, including film analysis, while serving as a key administrative liaison between the team and different departments around campus. He also aided in all areas of recruiting as permitted by NCAA bylaws.
With Lowe in this role, the Rams enjoyed their best season in more than three decades. Picked to finish 11th in the Atlantic 10, Fordham compiled a record of 25-8, including a 12-6 mark in conference. The Rams' 12 victories and .667 winning percentage set new high-water marks for the program's 28-year A-10 tenure. Fordham tied for second in the final A-10 standings, its highest-ever finish, and advanced to the semifinals of the league tournament for just the second time.
Lowe was part of the staff that helped Urgo earn Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year honors, becoming just the second head man in Fordham history to ever garner the award alongside Nick Macarchuk in 1999. Urgo also won the Joe B. Hall Award as the nation's top first-time head coach.
As the team's director of operations and development in 2021-22, Lowe helped lead the first phase of the program's turnaround. After winning a total of two games the year prior to the staff's arrival, the Rams finished 16-16 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the A-10 Tournament for the first time since 2007.
A four-year letterwinner at Villanova from 2012-16, Lowe immediately joined Jay Wright's coaching staff for two years as a graduate assistant upon completing his playing career. In his six years with Villanova as a player and staffer, Lowe helped the Wildcats to 184 victories, two national championships (2016 and 2018), four BIG EAST Regular Season Championships and three BIG EAST Tournament titles.
A double alumnus of Villanova, Lowe earned a bachelor's in communications with a business minor before completing his MBA with specializations in marketing and data analytics.
Before returning to basketball as a member of Kyle Neptune's staff in 2021, Lowe spent three years in the private sector as an entrepreneur and founding partner in building an asset management firm within the financial services industry in Manhattan.
A proud New York City native, Lowe graduated from The Dalton School, where he was a 1,000-point scorer. Lowe's mother, Mary, is a physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Washington Heights and an advisory dean at Columbia's Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. His older brother, Austin, is a corporate lawyer in Washington, D.C.
