Entering his third season with the Rams in 2024-25, Dwan McMillan was elevated to the position of Director of Player Development and Recruiting Coordinator in the spring of 2023. Â
As the team's video coordinator in 2022-23, McMillan helped the Rams turn in their finest season in more than three decades, going 25-8 and tying for second in the final Atlantic 10 regular season standings with a 12-6 effort, the program's best-ever finish in the conference.

McMillan came to Fordham after serving as a basketball coach at New Heights Youth, Inc., since 2019 where he was responsible for coaching a selection of premier teams from both middle and high school divisions. He was also charged with recruiting players, assisting in academic supervision, and directing all summer camps.

From 2019-2022 McMillan also served as a Community Manager for the New York City Parks Department at St. John’s Recreation Center in Brooklyn where he managed several community programs for the center with a focus on athletic and fitness while also coaching youth basketball teams.

McMillan was the head basketball coach at Nazareth High School in Brooklyn in 2018-2019 and was a graduate assistant for the Wagner College men’s basketball program in 2014-2015.

A 2012 graduate of Hofstra University, McMillan was a member of the Pride basketball program. He led the team to its highest CAA win total (14) and best overall conference finish (second) in 2010-2011 and led the CAA in assists per game in 2011-2012. He was named to the CAA All-Academic Team both seasons at Hofstra.
