Biography

A 2010 team captain... named 2010 Second Team Preseason First Team All-Patriot League by Phil Steele[apos]s College Football Preview... slated to start at nose tackle in 2010... started all eleven games last fall... led all defensive linemen in total tackles... led team in tackles for loss and was second on squad in sacks... ranked seventh in the Patriot League in sacks and tenth in tackles for loss... made a successful move from the offensive line to the defensive line last fall... 2009 Second Team All-Patriot League selection... started seven games at left guard in 2007, helping John Skelton become Fordham[apos]s all-time leading passer and Xavier Martin rush for over 1,000 yards... provided the offensive line with quality depth as a freshman... appeared in six games in 2007. 2009: A 2009 Second Team All-Patriot selection on the defensive line... started every game at tackle as a junior, after moving over from the offensive line... led defensive line with 39 total tackles, 23 solo... made a team-high nine tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks, second best on the team... ranked seventh in the Patriot League in sacks and tenth in tackles for loss... made a season high nine tackles, four solo, at Lafayette, including 2.5 for loss and two sacks... recorded seven stops in the win over Old Dominion, six solo, including two for loss and one sack... finished with five tackles, including a half sack, in the Columbia game... made three tackles in the Colgate, Cornell, Bucknell and Lehigh games. 2008: Appeared in all eleven games as a sophomore, starting seven at left guard... was a cog on an offensive line that helped sophomore running back Xavier Martin become the sixth Ram to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season and protected junior quarterback John Skelton, who set the Fordham career record for passing yards, accumulating 6,215 yards. 2007: Appeared in six games on the offensive line and on special teams as a freshman... missed five games with an injury. Before Fordham: A graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he lettered in football and basketball... 2006 All-League 1A and All-Section 1 selection... 2006 Charles Van Nostrand Award Winner... starter on the Section One North All-Star team... named to the All-Academic Team... 2006 team MVP... four-year letter winner in football... served as a team captain for both football and basketball... an All-Dutchess County pick in basketball... three year letter winner in basketball... 2006 All-League Class A... named 2006 team MVP... named to the All-Academic Team from 2004-07.
