Biography

A 2010 team captain... named one of the Top Ten NCAA FCS wide receivers by The Sports Network... named 2010 First Team Preseason All-American and Preseason First Team All-Patriot League by Phil Steele[apos]s College Football Preview... earned 2009 All-America honors from Associated Press, The Sports Network and The College Sporting News... also named First Team All-Patriot League and an ECAC All-Star... led Patriot League and ranked third in the NCAA FCS in total receiving yards and receiving yards/game in 2009... also led league in receptions per game (ranked tenth nationally)... looks to finish out career with solid senior campaign...shattered school mark for 100-yard receiving games in a season with seven in 2009... tied for fifth on the team with 18 receptions in 2008... hauled in an 87-yard scoring pass in 2008, tied for fourth longest in school history...broke into the starting line-up as a sophomore in 2007, finishing sixth on the squad in receptions and tying for second with four touchdown catches... hauled in game-winning touchdown pass in closing seconds at Rhode Island in 2007... sat out the entire 2006 season due to injury... named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in 2008. 2009: Named NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) All-America by The Sports Network (Second Team), the Associated Press (Third Team) and the College Sporting News (Honorable Mention)... also earned ECAC FCS All-Star Team accolades and First Team All-Patriot League honors... caught 79 passes for 1,252 yards and nine touchdowns in 2009... the 79 receptions and 1,252 receiving yards were both second best single-season totals in school history while his nine touchdown catches tied him for third... led the Patriot League in receptions per game (7.2) and receiving yards/game (113.8)... third in the NCAA FCS in total receiving yards and receiving yards/game, tied for tenth in receptions/game and 27th in all-purpose yards/game... also returned three kickoffs for 68 yards... recorded a school-record seven 100-yard receiving games (former record was four), including a nine-catch, 254-yard, four-touchdown game (71, 58, 50 and 22 yards) at Cornell on October 17th, tying Javarus Dudley[apos]s single-game mark for touchdown receptions in a game and finishing one shy of Dudley[apos]s school mark for receiving yards in a game... closed out season with eight catches for 186 yards and one score (62 yards) at Georgetown... hauled in nine passes for 154 yards and rushed three times for nine yards against Holy Cross... grabbed a career-high 12 passes for 135 yards in the win over Bucknell... followed that game with ten catches for 128 yards in the Lehigh contest... recorded six receptions for 119 yards and one touchdown (14 yards) at Colgate... opened season with eight catches for 102 yards and one score (9 yards) at Rhode Island. 2008: Appeared in nine games as a junior, starting four... caught 18 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns... also returned nine kickoffs for 198 yards (a team-best 22.0 yard/return)... hauled in four passes for 51 yards and brought back one kickoff for 32 yards in the Liberty Cup win over Columbia... made three catches for 51 yards and one touchdown in the season-opening win over Rhode Island. 2007: Appeared in eleven games as a sophomore, starting all eleven... caught 18 passes for 183 yards (10.2 yards/catch) and four touchdowns... opened season with five catches for 40 yards and one touchdown in the win at Rhode Island... hauled in a nine-yard scoring strike from John Skelton with 15 seconds left to lead the Rams to the win... made five catches for 24 yards with one score (17 yards) against Dayton... grabbed a 52-yard touchdown pass in the Albany game... made three catches for 36 yards and rushed once for two yards at Colgate... recorded a pair of receptions for 18 yards in the NCAA FCS playoff game at Massachusetts... also had two catches for 13 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown catch, versus Bucknell. 2006: Sat out the entire season due to injury. Before Fordham: A graduate of St. Paul[apos]s School in Baltimore, Maryland... lettered in football, basketball and lacrosse... attended Wyoming Seminary Prep School in Kingston, Pennsylvania in 2005... a 2005 Independent League MVP... named 2003 & 2004 First Team All-State at St. Paul[apos]s... a 2004 All-Conference selection... Super 22 Candidate (University of Maryland)... Fox 45 Prep Player of the Week...named Ravens Player of the Week in 2005... ABC Prep Player of the Week... served as a team captain for basketball and football... candidate for the 2005 McCormick Unsung Hero Award. Personal: Son of Dawn Caldwell... has an older sister (Nikki), an older brother (Ricky) and three younger sisters (Brittany, Sharese and Jewel)... graduated with a degree in Business Administration major with a concentration in Finance in 2009... currently enrolled in graduate school at Fordham.
