Will Reimann, a four-year student assistant coach at Fordham, will begin his third season as the outside linebackers coach for the Rams in 2017.
Last fall, Reimann led a linebacking group that helped the Rams lead the Patriot League, and rank 12th in the NCAA FCS, in turnovers gained (26) as well as lead the League and rank fifth in the nation in passing efficiency defense (106.61). The crew was led by George Dawson, a Second Team All-Patriot League pick who led the team with 70 total tackles and tied for the team lead with three interceptions.
In 2015, Reimann coached senior linebacker Stephen Hodge to consensus All-America honors as he earned first team accolades from the Associated Press, second team honors from STATS and third team honors from College Sports Madness. Hodge led the Rams with 119 total tackles, including 11.5 for loss and 2.5 sacks. He also intercepted three passes and helped the Fordham defense lead the Patriot League and rank tenth in the NCAA FCS in turnovers gained (29) and fumbles recovered (13) while the Rams also led the league and ranked 17th in the nation in passes intercepted (16).
As an undergraduate, Reimann assisted the football squad in a myriad of ways, including breaking down game film, creating playbooks, compiling weekly scouting reports and videos, designing practice scripts and organizing campus tours and recruiting weekends for high school recruits. On the field, he worked with the defensive coaches during practice and was stationed in the press box during games, relaying information to the sidelines.
Reimann, who also served as the treasurer of the Fordham University Football Uplifting Athletes branch, capped his collegiate career by winning the Patrick Kenneally Award at the 2015 Block F Awards Dinner, presented to a Fordham student who serves the Athletic Department in capacities other than athletic participation. The award honors the memory of Pat Kenneally, equipment and business manager for 54 years.
In the summer of 2015, Reimann received NFL experience, participating in a training camp internship with the Philadelphia Eagles.
A Los Angeles, California, native, Reimann graduated from Fordham in 2015 with a degree in political science. During his college career he interned for current Secretary of State John Kerry as well as for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Morgan Stanley.
